Faygo Flavor Lab

This year we tried something new at Ladies Night Out and it from the results it seems to have been a delicious success! We created a Faygo Flavor Lab using 12 of their over 50 flavors allowing mentors and mentees to create their very own taste sensations. Since these were far too awesome to keep to ourselves we wanted to share them with you. Be sure to try a few and post some of your favorite concoctions in return.

 

Fruit Salad- 1 part Faygo Orange + 1 part Faygo Peach 

Red Hat Lady- 1 part Faygo 60/40 + Faygo Red Pop + Faygo Grape

Peaches 'n' Creme- 2 parts Faygo Peach + 1 part Faygo Creme Soda 

Rockin' Orange- 1 part Faygo Rock and Rye +1 part Faygo Orange

Root Beer Float- 1 part Faygo Root Beer + 1 part Faygo Creme Soda 

Spring is Coming Strawberries and Creme- 2 parts Faygo Red Pop + 1 part Creme Soda 

Cherry Cola- 1 part Faygo Rock and Rye + 1 part Faygo Cola

Sunset Moon- 3 parts Faygo Moon Mist + 1 part Faygo Red Pop

Exciting things coming this month and next!

The OCMC has a lot coming up in the next few months and I thought that today's blog would be a great chance for us to highlight some of them.

First is that Cooking Made Easy which is next Tuesday we still have room for a few more matches so be sure to RSVP soon. Chef Stephen is going to be going over some basic tricks everyone should know as well as some great recipes to add to your collection.

Also in March is the return of Ladies Night Out and the all new Guys Night Out! There are lots of exciting things in the works for both and I will be post blogs about them later in the month so stay tuned but right now write down the dates! March 29th for the gentlemen and March 31st for the ladies!


We will also be kicking off 2 great new 3 weeks series in April!

Photography
Join us in downtown Holland on April 16th for tips from an expert and the chance to
take your own photos. On April 21st we will be meeting with a professional photographer
to edit photos and prepare for the gallery show that will be hosted on May 3rd.
Be sure to invite your friends and family to join us for opening night May 3rd at the
Knickerbocker Theater in Downtown Holland.
Film
Join us in downtown Holland on April 16th for tips from an expert and the chance to
take your own footage. On April 19th we will be meeting with the professionals at
MAC TV to edit together our videos. Completed videos will be shown on Mac TV and
premiered on opening night May 3rd. Be sure to invite your friends and family to join
us for opening night May 3rd at the Knickerbocker Theater in Downtown Holland.

Free activities for anytime that we love

In honor of Valentines Day today I though that I would post 5 free activities we love and hope you and your mentee will too. Also don't forget that this Tuesday we will be hosting a hip-hop dance class at the Fillmore Complex from 6-8 in the main conference room.

1. Go to the library and pick out your favorite books for the other to read.
2. Go for a walk in one of the amazing parks in our area.
3. Play a board game. 
4. Have your own snow day or beach day and build a person out of snow/sand.
5. Volunteer at a local mission, nursing home, or animal shelter.

and as always attend the weekly free events hosted by the OCMC!

Magic of Mentoring Pictures Continue

I thought that today we would finish up with Magic of Mentoring Pictures. There are so many pictures and they are all so great it was almost in possible to pick but here are some of our favorites!

This year we were lucky enough to have a caricaturist

David created some amazing portraits for some of our matches

It was fun even just as a spectator as you can see

And the final results were awesome! 

This year we added a sundae bar to the awesome deserts donated by programs in the OCMC

It was enjoyed by all!

It was great to see so many mentors and mentees enjoying their time together!

Of course the best part of the evening was being able to honor our great mentors and community partners!

This year Former Senator Kuipers was the recipient of the Cal Steele Spirit of Mentoring Award. It was awesome to see him with some of the mentors who had received the award as well

We were also able to honor some of this years Top Hat Mentors

And a special thanks to our Kohl's A-team we wouldn't be able to do it with out their help!
